Singing for Behçet’s UK!

Evolution Choir, based in Salisbury,  have nominated Behçet’s UK as their ‘dedicated charity’, in recognition of and supportive to group member Cat who has Behçet’s and have already collected £332 from pre-Christmas gigs!

Founded in 2007 by Singing Teacher and Confidence Coach Lilli Badcock, the group has built a reputation over the years as a fun and supportive environment to build confidence, learn to sing and make new friends.

It is a non-audition group and every member is given the opportunity to sing a solo, but there is no pressure to do so. Evo offers the unique combination of professional training with a huge element of FUN!  A huge part of why Evolution works so well is because it is run from pure passion and a love of performing. Cat loves singing with them.

The choir have recently auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent, and will know in February if they have ‘caught the judge’s eye’

London to Paris Cycle ride

Tour de Behçet’s!

After the inspirational race by Chris Froome, we’ve been inspired to get on our bikes! We can’t guarantee you yellow jerseys or Olympic medals, but we can guarantee you a ‘Grand depart’ from the London Centre of Excellence and a Champs Elysees style finish under the Eiffel Tower in Paris. In between, we’ll be cycling around 200 miles through both English and French countryside raising money for the Behçet’s Syndrome Society. We’re aiming to finish in Paris to coincide with the International Behçet’s conference in September 2014. Full details are now available follow this link

If you, a friend, a colleague, a family member or someone you know enjoys cycling or even fancies going on a tandem and may like this type of challenge, please get in touch. We’ll need to know how many people are interested so that we can plan where we’ll stay and how much you’ll need to raise. We can help with fundraising ideas and sponsorship forms etc.
